disruption in the Middle East and concerns over jet
fuel supplies have impacted some travel plans.
From wild camping, activity holidays, city breaks and
more, the UK is set to showcase its 昀椀nest.
Holiday travel remains a priority, however, with the
latest industry 昀椀gures showing demand is not falling
but simply shifting.
If you’re travelling by rail, there are new routes to
check out both home and abroad. Connections

with both the Caledonian Sleeper, which runs between
the Highlands and London, and the Lumo from London
to Stirling adding more stops.
In Europe, the luxury Venice Simplon-Orient-Express

possibly the most romantic rail trip imagineable,
complete with 1920s carriages and all the old-world
glamour you’d expect. If you can stump up the ticket
price, then pack your Louis Vuitton and get ready for
a train journey worthy of a Hollywood star.
