IBIZA
Ibiza is an island of contrasts, known as much for its
bohemian spirit as its glittering party atmosphere. A
journey inland to the rural heartland reveals sleepy villages,
landscapes peppered with fragrant olive and almond trees,
and wild昀氀ower 昀椀elds.
Agrotourism is well established on the island, offering a
peaceful alternative to Ibiza’s nightlife. Centuries-old 昀椀ncas
are often found within working farms, with a focus on
homegrown produce. Atzarò Agroturismo offers an idyllic
setting among citrus groves and a high-end spa.
Those who want to embrace the quieter side of coastal
Ibiza should head north. Here you’ll 昀椀nd quiet coves
and empty beaches, with rugged coastlines ideal for
adventurous hikes. Try the 3.5km circular Las Puertas del
Cielo route, or hike the coast of Es Portitxol, known for its
traditional 昀椀shing huts.
Ibiza’s retreat scene is unmatched throughout Europe, with
many tapping into the island’s mythical quality with themes
around spiritualism. Beyond the simple yoga retreat,
choose from sound baths, meditation workshops, energy
work and crystal healing.
Getting there: Fly to direct Ibiza Airport from across the UK.
The north side of the island is approximately a 30-minute
taxi ride away.
